going 2 the eye dr tomorrow

well my eye sight hasnt been 2 good... i cant see things my mother can see...which is bad... in the 4th grade i was given reading glasses in the lowest strength, im near-sighted in one eye and far-sighted in the other . i never ever wore those... oh well... so tomorrow ima go get a pair of " hold me overs" until i buy the D&G glass frames .. oh well ill report back tomorrow and see what glasses i get :P

oof i hate eye tests bc they blow that air in ur eye -_-

SURVEY!, top products in fashion and beauty catagories >_>

well sorry i cant post pics of my own stuff 2 often, i dont have a camera, so i have 2 wait til someone else is over and take advantage :P

anyways..this is a poll about ur fav products in each catagory and why.. heres mine!

Hair:mmm, id say my goody wooden handles boar and plastic mix bristle round brush $7.99 @ walmart why? bc it brushes my hair, plus smoothes it, so u get soft bouncy waves

Skin: Queen helene mint julip mask $4 @CVS why? bc if i ever have a blemish or a spot thats red and i know ill become a blemish, i put a spot of it on my blemish at night and its gone if not almost gone by the morning

Makeup: everday minerals in medium tan $12 @ everydayminerals.com why? bc during the summer since its so hot and humid in FL u tend 2 sweat more ad produce more oil and with this foundation, it absorbs that oil and makes ur makeup look even better lol

Accessories: my bow headbands, omg so girly and cute, but without being over the top, i usually find mine at ulta and claires and theyre about 5 ea but claires is always doing a BOGO

the pics ive been meaning 2 post, but put it off and forgot :P

so there u go, thats all the things that have been changed in my room >_>

quick update.. no purchases for a few weeks!

well for the next week ima be really busy, and im also doing a no buy for about a month T_T... but im doing it bc i need 2 save up for some of the early fall collections, and im gonna b sorting thru all my old makeup and make room for new makeup... i havent mentioned yet... but i have this new found obsession with 5g jars.. and pigment samples, i dont do wild crazy eye looks so samples last me an uber long time and i love having all ur jars lined up 100+ of them with the cute colors.. so thats what im saving for, and ill be ordering most of the colors from the she space.. and well see how it goes.. bc i also have 2 order 100 or so 5g jars from coastal scents... so thats kinda why im on a makeup diet, im sving for that. not 2 mention im sorting all my old brushes and am gonna get rid of the ones i dont use and buy new ones, so yea... i have 2 cut back for awhile...

so instead ill pry post about the items i use in my "kit" like most used shadows, and mascara, liner, concealer etc... the things i already have but have yet 2 do a review on.. also ill pry b posting about random things, like the bath bombs and cooking things ive found( bc i have alot of other hobbies aside of makeup:P) so ill be filling in with that stuff until istart back 2 buying lol.. wish me luck on my no buy!!

my take on makeup and skincare

well people see a young girl and they think, oh she just likes 2 play with makeup... when its not like that .. to me, cosmetics can greatly alter and affect a persons confidence physically and mentally, you can wake up feeling clammy or just not "pretty" that day and after they have their makeup done and their hair done.. they walk with a confident sway and their head up high, and bc they also feel pretty on the inside as well, there might b a small smirk or smile on their face...or women who have skin cancer, and because of it theres a scar on their cheek and everytime they go out all they can think of is that scar, when all they have 2 do is take some concealer, blot and blend it over the scar and that easily they can go about their day knowing only they know its there ... we dont all have perfect skin and sculpted cheekbones, the mainstream narrow nose and full lips.. but theres small tips and tricks u can do 2 help give the illusion that u have those, its not invasive and at night it all comes clean and its all bc of this "play thing" called makeup, or i like 2 say, cosmetics >_>

.. but its not just about applying it... i love mixing and melting and combining things... taking alcohol to" liquify" the shadow and mixing 2 eyeshadows and making a new one... making lip balms and face serums ( which ill tell u how 2 make at the end)...also breaking a perfectly good shadow and melting it and putting it into a new container... i enjoy it and im always wanting something new.. and thats the great thing about cosmetics and skincare etc.. theres always something new, new formulas, new colors, new trends of mixing colors... new findings for skincare, always something... but my passion, is international fashion and cosmetics.. mostly japanese brands... their culture fascinates me, but more specifically, theyre style and cosmetics and the way they choose 2 express themselves using them... and its not only the products.. take their packaging, its amazing, some are edgy, and some are bejeweled..and some are so elegant and feminine u dont wanna use them lol... the japanese have somehow found a way 2 maintain the classic and elegance that women love and crave, with the modern edgyness that u cant take ur eyes off of and are intrgued by ... as u can see im a "sucker" for the packaging, but packaging is key >_> lol ...

and their style... theres no rules, no boundaries, u wear what makes u feel good, whether its lolita, hime gyaru, ganguro, or kogal... theres so many styles and patterns we americans havent even seen... its no wonder its called "a pedestrians catwalk".. its ...well tbh its just crazy lol, they can dress up and become something totally different and theyre not looked at as "werid" or " out of their minds" its the way theyve chosen 2 express their personality and personal style... theyre all artists in their own right to be able 2 combine so many patterns, colors, and accessories and make them all come together as one is a talent, and an admirable one at that.

Their culture is ever changing, as well as cosmetics, not just their brands but american brands as well, were just going in a seperate direction as far as visual appeal.. the US visual marketing is more simple and clean.. black or gray packaging with clean simple letters, like MAC or BOBBI BROWN... which is good as well and dont get me wrong, theres colorful ones like over seas also. unfortuneately tho for americans, its hard 2 get ahold of all the japanese brands, theres a few online stores, but the prices r steep, either way it doesnt stop me from trying hard 2 get the rare items >_> idk if u can tell, but i love all things beauty.. and i refuse 2 stop buying and collecting cosmetics.. even if i already have a teal blue with green shimmer, if shiseido comes out with a teal blue with green shimmer, in a cute pot, ill buy it.... and sometimes i pull out all my makeup and lay it out on a towel and just look at all ive accumlated over time.... ive added up my current makeup that i shuffle most often and its about $3000 not 2 bed tho, ive seen bigger spenders lol... example 15min ago i just wrote up an order for 63 pigment samples, and if i like them, chances are ill buy... i dont spend money drinking, and im not a huge fan of $500 purses, or shoes.. i like my $10 keds white sneaks, cool and classic.. my purse? $30 from burlingtons coat factory.... i dont spend $45 2 get my nails done, i buy a pack at the store for $6 and ud never know ( mom went 2 nail school and she taught me how 2 do the store pack ones) .. i take the money most girls my age use 2 plurge on things like shoes and bags and $5 starbuck coffees evey morning and i spend it on cosmetics and skincare, and thats how i justify my spending >_>... if spending $60 on pigments makes me happy and makes me smile while i anticipate my order coming, then thats what matters...

and like i told my grandma " may god protect and have mercy upon the man who tries 2 tell me what 2 do with my money or tries 2 stop me from buying the things i love " hehe

heres the new nails !

these are the custom fit nails by kiss in medium length and they have the cresent mark on them at the cuticle.. they look pretty good, but i think ill stick with my broadway only bc theyre peach has a pink tone 2 it, where this is straight peach :)

mac collection, cool heat

well b4 we saw pics of this collecion i kinda knew there would b blues/teals, but i was hoping theyd have some awesome coppers and bronzes with it, u know cool heat.. idk in my opion the 2 pale neutralish colors dont fit, its funny, but thats just me others love it... i wanna go check it out and see if i want any c olors, but about 4 months ago i had a huge nyx haul and bout like 35 shadows and 5 trios so i have alot of those blues and teals in similar nyx shadows, doesnt matter tho bc it isnt mac right?! lol... ima try 2 get up 2 the mall where the mac store is and ill let yall know how pretty they r on ur skin and not just5 in the pot... and a few ppl asked what the nyx trios look lik eon my darker skin so soon il post some swatches, bc they do look a bit different on me then they do my mom ( shes caucasion).. peace yall!

omg i ruined my nails!~

OK well ive never done this b4, but i put a top coat on the nails and it had acrylic in it.. and i thought o maybe itll make them have that "wet look" ok soooooo wrong, it actually made the white tips wrinkle and crinkle up so they all eww now, so im soaking them off and starting over and ithought id try a new brand and see if theyre as good as the broadway so ill update yal later !

eyes without contacts and partail note about define a lash

haha, well u can see the crease under my eye from mascara... anyways, heres the pics of my eyecolor as is, no colored contacts, or contact enhancers... and i hadnt been crying earlier or anything, my eyes r just glassy like that .. so thats that ,, but i thought this was good 2 show, bc im wearing the define a lash tht i did a review on, and as u can see, it doesnt lengthen alot, on account that thats prety close 2 how my lashes look without, but.. after being out in the florida humidity, no it didnt leave marks on my lid but it settled down in the little crease part under ur bottom lash line, which i hate, but i think maybe if i woulda done a touch up earlier it woulda stopped it, idk tho, so im still iffy about this mascara

montagne jeunesse face masks!

well i bought this chocolate one the other day , and ive bought quite of few of theres in the past as well, and i love these... theyre great, bc 1, they offer many different formulas, peel off gel, clay, the kind that are like a linen in the shape of a mask, i think those are called tonics... and not only do they sell the ones for face, but for hands, feet and hair.. @ my local walmart they are $1.38 ea. and then tax. thats its, its awesome bc if u like 2 treat ur skin 2 a facial once a week.. u can just buy one at the store and u can always try a new one and if u happen 2 maybe not like what u got ur only out about a dollar fifty and not a big tube of stuff u normally buy :) i was skeptical at first, but every single one ive tried so far i have loved.. and i love how this mask smells so sweet ( the chocolate one) .. or if u ever have some girlfriends coming over for a sleepover/ girls night or if ur daughter is gonna have a pamper me kind of spa bday this is reasonable so u can buy all ur friends one and u can do them together!.. you should definately go out and buy one of these and im sure ull love it bc i surely do :)

cupcake flower attempt 2 ..

ok first one was a mess. but i took a dixie cup thing and covered it with saran wrap and it was the same size a cupcake and i was practiing piping on it.. and i tried a flower and like i said the first was a mess, but im pretty proud on my 2nd attempt heres the result!

Todays Rave!... broadway french tip press on nails !

well... ive bought these since forever!... they cost $6 and last me about 3 weeks... and i always get compliments on my nails, women always say " omg were do u get ur nails done? theyre beautiful!" and i say i do them myself they cost $6, and they cant believe it... if u take time 2 scrub ur hands with an exfoliator, and then push ur cuticles back like when u do a manicure.. once u press them on, put some hand cream on and put some of those oisture gloves on for abut an hour ( if u have time) then dab a qtip in olive oil or w.e hand oil u might have, and just swipe around ur cuticle .. i swear it looks like u paid $50 at a salon... im gonna be doing my nails 2day so ill have 2 report back and show u some pics of them if im able 2....

anyways, they come in short, medium, or long length... and they come in different base colors, like peach, pink, and pure pink... i myself use the peach bc it blends more naturally 2 my nail bed... and i usually wear the short length for work.. but this time i think ima either do medium or long, ill have 2 let yall know when i get back from the store... but AHHH im so in love with these !

TREND ALERT!

I gotta say, these are adorable.. the top 2 are so fresh and cute and the pop of color just make it so darling, tho imagine if u had a red outfit and wanted 2 wear ur purse but it has a green bow? :( now the bottom handbag, oof can we say classic, its modern but still has the classic simplicity, this is def a bag u can get ur moneys worth.. and not 2 mention, every woman will notice it, even if no one says anything or give a compliment like " cute purse" or " i like ur coach!" .. oh yea, those girls notice.. check my coach ladies!!! the wallet tho, eh ive seen cuter from guess >_> but thats just me, im not a wallet kind of girl 2 much :P

the top 2 are the MADELINE SIGNATURE LARGE TOTE $398

and the bottom one is :MADELINE SIGNATURE LARGE TOTE $398

and the wallet is HAMPTONS SIGNATURE SLIM ENVELOPE WALLET $228

ok , so i need glasses..

well i was prescribed glasses in the 4th grade and here i am, almost an adult and i still dont wear them >_> and i can tell now bc i can look at things that even my mother can see and i see it all blurry... but i told her right away " mom... if i cant have cute designer glasses, i would rather walk around not being able 2 see S***" and thats exactly what i told her lol... dont get off thinking i was bratty about it, im gonna buy them solely on my own bc its a cosmetic kind of thing lol :) but im on the hunt for super cute yet mature glasses, so far ive found these >_>.. tho im a total whore for coach and miu miu i cant decide what i like :/

Bic Soleil disposable razors

ok, well ive always been a sucker for packaging, so naturally ive tried the venus razors and the intuition razors, the schick quatro, heck ive tried them all and they all work really well, but the blades always would dull faily fast, and no its not bc i have alot of hair -_-(which i dont fyi lol)
.. but about 6 months ago i saw these and i thought hmm, disposable and they looks like a non disposable razor and theyre cute... so i tried them, and no only do they give me a smoother shave then my old razors but the blades lasted twice as long... tbh i only use a pack a month.. and a pack of 4 is only $5... so i take that and compare it 2 my old refills that were like 20 for 8 of them , plus id run out faster... infact these work so well my father even uses them now, and he has that typical coarse facial hair, and they work awesome for him.. he shaves his arms and legs 2, but thats a whole 'nother story hehe! >_> ... so id definately try these razors .. plus they now have other ones out as well for sensitive skin and ones that the blade pivots for the natural curves of ur legs... i absolutely love these razors and w00t im so happy i came across them!

OH MY GOSH! im so in love with this look atm!

its lilacs and teal/greens, its so fresh and girly and sweet and OH MY GOSH!

starter kit part 3 ..

ok, so theres an overview 2 start u off on cosmetics... of course itll grow from there and trust me, once u love cosmetics, ur collection grows super super fast!

some good places, ( besides ur drugstore) 2 look at cosmetics are
sephora
ulta
cherryculture.com
rmk cosmetics
nyx cosmetics ( but cherryculture sells them cheaper)
e.l.f cosmetics

thats just a few places 2 look...

also some other things u might wanna buy are.. some oil blotting sheets, or just kleenex 2 absorb oil... and as far as brushes..

you can buy all ur brushes at coastalscents.com theyre cheap and good quality u should have

~foundation brush ( i luv the stippling brush)
~concealer brush
~powder brush (they have a large paddle one, but it might b 2 big for mineral ~foundation application, but wonderful for setting powder, so u could get this one and a smaller powder brush)
~blush brush
~contour brush( basically a brush brush, it helps if its either angled or tapered)
~small eyeshadow brush
~large eyeshadow brush or blending brush
~pencil brush
~if possible a 2nd eyeshadow brush if ur gonna b working with alot of different shades of shadow
~a lip brush

thats about all u need 2 started, yea it seems like alot... but if ud put a litle bit of money back each week, in a months time (maybe less) ud have plenty of money 2 start off ur collection :)

starter kit part 2...

Lips:

well now 2 lips... everyone should have a lip balm or carmex, i use carmex... alot of people like lipstains, but its not on a need 2 have basis... but u should have 2 lipsticks and 2 glosses. on the lipsticks u should have one natural one, depends on the color of ur lips, and one thats more dramatic, whether its a red, or maybe just a darker hue of pink or plum, or maybe a bright fuschia for spring.. and with gloss, the same thing.. but if u can swing it, a natural peach, a natural pink/plum, and a one 2 enhance ur dramatic lipstick would b perfect! i would mention lipliner but i know alot of ppl who just dont like 2 use it, so idk if its a starter kind of product

Eyes:

this one is a bit more difficult... its spring.. so lemme start with new trends.. lilac is big, big big big

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x45cqt_yuri-biteki_ads

^ look at this link, its an awesome spring look... so i think..

u should start off with a cheaper shadow like nyx bc theyre cheap price but awesome quality, plus they sell the trios..

so id start with a purple trio, green trio, blue/teal trio, and a golden trio
theyre only $4.80USD ea, so dont freak out :P
then a neutral pink shadow.. a espresso brown, a bronzy brown, a taupe, and a grey stone color, also ur basic black and a cream highlight shade... lol ur pry thinking, omg is this girl nuts i cant afford all those!, well actually yes u can, bc the singles r only $2.80 .. thats about $4o for ur shadows, u could only get 4 mac eyeshadows for all of that!

also eyeliner... i have been using jordannas eyeliner from walgreens for a long time now and i always repurchase , u get 2 liner for $3 i buy brown suede ad black.. u should also try 2 buy a liquid liner, in brown or black, whichever u choose ...

and woot mascara... there r very few women who can say they have found their dream mascara sadly 2 say, and thats bc most mascaras dont live up 2 what they claim... this is totally a trial and error part, tho i just started using define-a-lash lengthening mascara and i did a review, its ok, but isnt great, sadly im not much help in this area :/

onto part 3 ...

Basic Starter Kit Part 1, face

alright, so this is part one 2 my basic starter kit in cosmetics... alot of girls are just now coming into makeup, and with all the brands and products u find urself completely overwhelmed not knowing what 2 buy.... well heres my own overview of what u could start off with ...

Foundation: well i think everyone needs a liquid foundation, even tho u dont use it much in the summer, its good 2 have for when the cooler months come around, or a special occasion when u might want more coverage.. tho the coverage of ur liquid foundation can vary... if u want a lighter foundation, neutrogena healthy skin enhancer is very light, more like a tinted moisturizer.. if u want a medium coverage, i like cliniques perfectly real foundation, it stays fresh and doesnt seem 2 clog my pores... now for a heavier coverage, Macs Studio fix fluid gives a heavier coverage, beware tho, this can cause breakouts for prone skin... in my opinion tho, a heavy coverage isnt nessesary, at the most the medium coverage is plenty, bc ur powder usually offers more coverage 2 ur foundation.
u also should have a mineral foundation for the warmer weather, everyday minerals is excellent and priced alot better then bare minerals, plus its good for ur skin! and mineral makeup absorbs the oils on ur face so those with oily skin , this is the best foundation all around, bc as ur face gets a bit oily, ur makeup starts 2 melt and almost looks even better ! def def must

concealer: u dont always have 2 use concealer, but its good on days u might have a bothersome blemish or want 2 conceal under eye circles... also, when u use mineral foundations, if theres a stubborn spot, u can just spot conceal and then use ur mieral powder for a more natural look... i myself like mac studio tech concealer, its opaque and a little goes a long way, but if u can afford it, u should just buy MAC full coverage foundation and use it as a conealer, u get alot more for your money and its opaque as well... a cheaper alternative is revlons colorstay foundation as a concealer.. as u can see, u can also double a foundation as a concealer.

powder: woot, i love powders, idk y but i do... this is all personal preference, loose or pressed, but pressed is easier, and my ultimate all time favorite is mineralized skin finish natual from MAC, i love thiss stuff so much, it makes ur skin glow without being shimmery... or u can buy a translucent powder, like everyday minerals, they offer a pure silk dust, and i think its works very very well, it gives ur skin a soft focus .. if u want tho, u an always do both ! lol

face primer, and eye primer... well the primers is what will help ur makeup last thru the day and help control oil, it also creats a barrier between ur makeup and ur skin , 2 protect ur face ... i reccomend monistats anti chaffing gel, and dont even say eww -_-... bc its almost exactly like photofinish primer by smashbox without the breakouts .. and the eye primer, it helps ur shadows adhere, last longer and be more true 2 color.. this is easy tho, bc u can juse cream eyeshaodw, shadow sticks, mac paintpots, urban dcay primer potion, even a cream concealer, its just about finding what u like, i myself like urban decay primer potion

bronzer.. i like the mac bronzers and shiseido multi shade enhancer in terracotta glow.. be careful tho, 2 much shimmers will make u look tacky >_> u can use bronzer 2 contour your cheekbones etc. instead of going into detail on that, enkoremakeup on youtube has an awesome tutorial on contouring, u should check it out

highlighter.. i myself am still on the hunt for a good highlighter, about 3 yrs ago i bought a estee lauder color block for $48, well it was a special edition, and i think i would rob a store if it meant i could get another, it gave a beautiful sheen, it was perfect, and ive yet 2 find one like that, im going 2 try shiseidos multi shade enhancer in apricot glow and see if it works, so ill report back !

Blush: well i think everyone should have 2 cream blushes, on in a peach tone and one in a pink tone.. also the same goes with powder blush, one in a pink, and one in a peach..... now heres the thing, with tan or darker skin tones sometimes plum can show up pink, and pink can actual look like clown cheeks.. i myself use plum and it looks pink, im an NC44 my fav is macs plum foolery powder blush, it looks like a pink flush on me, so its good 2 go 2 mac , ulta or sephora and just try different hues of blush and see which ones look natural

cupcake bath bombs

well soon im going 2 b ordering the ingredients i need 2 make these cupcake bath fizzies, and if they turn out ill have 2 show yall, oof dont they look yummuy?! ud never wanna get out of the bathtub!

Saturday, June 7

OMG everyday mineral haul!

ok starting from the top... left 2 right ,i got the...
~large mixing jar
~sample kit , 3 medium tan foundations intensive formula, allsmiles blush and pink pick me up face powder ( theres 3 xtra there that i owned, but i set them there anyways :P there just the 1st one on the top row of samples and the 2 little jars off 2 the side)
~6pc custom kit, 4 medium tan foundations, 2 original glo and 2 intensive ( i mix them) the large kabuki brush and the pure silk dust
ok.. so this came 2 $46 because i payed 13 for 2 day shipping thru DHL... so i ordered this and 3 days later it didnt arrive and i checked the status and it said rejected, well i had $200 in my account, so funds werent an issue, i contacted the company and i recieved an email saying, rejected means refunded since the order didnt ship ontime due 2 the changeover of the site... she said they were gonna refund the 2 day shipping cost.. so i was so excited... woot free shipping, i checked my account 2 days later when the order came and i saw in my account a deposit from everyday minerals for $46, it was totally free, they refunded all of it bc it was so late, i didnt even have 2 pay for all of this!!!!, talk about an awesome haul,,, i love love love love everyday minerals..
by the way, im an NC44, and medium tan is super close 2 my skintone, i mix original gloe and intensive together bc it lasts longer but still gives the glow >_>

MAC studio fix fluid foundation

ok this is about 25USD, and ive bought this twice, the first time i bought it, i used it all the time, but it was winter so the heavier coverage was easy 2 pull off without being so noticeable... around feb i bought my 2nd bottle, well i live in FL, and by Feb, the weather starts 2 warm up bit, but it wasnt a big deal, well by march, the humidity comes and i began 2 notice little itty bitty blemishes/whiteheads on my forehead and by my nose... well i freaked bc i hate when i get a blemish... sooo.. i couldnt figure out what it was... until one day i was sweating alot at the park and i noticed that the foundation tranferred 2 bit on my shirt, ewww i hate that -_-, and it never happens 2 me... so i didnt use it the next 2 days, and my breakouts went away... so i found out that it was the studio fix fluid that was breaking me out.. for the winter this is pretty good, but if theres any sign of warmth or humidity , keep away from this >_>... in my opinion, yes the covereage is good if u want a heavier coverage, but the MAC foundations dont seem very fit for everyday wear, more so for special occasions... as far as liquid and cream foundation, i think cliniques and shiseidos are pretty good... i think people use mac so much bc they have an outrageous color line in all undertones. i just wish this didnt break me out bc i hate looking at my studio fix fluuid bottle and not being able 2 use it T_T .. that is.. until i found my new love.. everyday minerals, and wait til u hear how much this cost me !!!

off topic, but in love with this show!

ok yall i have been watching this all day long, ahhhh!!! on veoh i found all the episodes, and i have atched all 16 of them, and each is an hour long, yay !!!!... its awesome, ji hyun woo and hwan hee, PLUS! hyun joon?! all in the same movie?! OMFG *faint* lol, im such a girl , but seriously, yall should watch this, its really good, plus theres 2 love stories that intertwine!

Well, i bought this 3 days ago, and have been using it for 2 days, and im on the fence about it... theres 2 versions of this, the pink vial one is for volume, and this green one is for length, volume im good on naturally, but on length, id like a mascara that helps a little with that, and almst every mascara does that for me... but unfortunately, all other mascaras also transfer and leave little marks on my lid, yet this one doesnt ( i bought waterproof).... but this mascara didnt lengthen my lashes at all , my maybelline great lash lengthened more then this :/ but im so happy that this doesnt transfer, im thinking of just staying with this one... i might try the volume one and maybe itll give the illusion of length, if not.. then im thinking of trying shiseidos lengthening one, and ill have 2 let yall know if it works, so sadly, this gets 5 out of 10, bc it doesnt do what it says it does, but it doesnt transfer... ill cya later, bye!

my "lecture" on skincare

*oily and acne prone skin*

before i even start, lemme say that this is my own rules i follow in skincare that ive learned from others and from trial and error, just bc it works for me, doesnt mean it will work for everyone, but the products i mention r fairly cheap and can be bought at ur local drugstore, or even walmart, so it doesnt hurt 2 try it... but everyones skin is different and reacts 2 a variety of things, u just have 2 try and find what works for you :)

OK here we go! .. well as u know i have oily skin, so 2 keep it looking as if i dont.. i thought id use cleansers for oily skin or ones that say theyre for oil control, BIG MISTAKE! see just bc u have oily skin, doesnt mean u should go nuts and try 2 dry ur face up... i was using cleansers that stripped my face, not clean, strip it... and thats what most ppl do.. what you should do tho is find a gentle yet efficient cleanser... and this goes for ppl with acne 2... you dont need a "acne" cleanser. see when u use a cleanser for oily or acne skin, its meant 2 dry it up. what happens is, it dries ur skin up so much that ur skin almost freaks out and goes into defense mode and tries 2 compensate the oils for ur skin that u just stripped... skin shouldnt b greasy or anything like that, but it should have a "glow" and it should b moisturized... which is why u should use a cleanser for normal skin.. bc those cleansers are meant for people who have a good natural balance, they arent meant 2 dry, and dont have harsh things like AHAs and BHAs...

i suggest cetaphil, or avons meet mark comforting milk cleanser.. these are so gentle and basic that just cleanse ur skin, they dont strip, and once ur done ur skin feels clean, and soft but not dry.. BUT for ppl who wear makeup, dont expect these cleansers 2 remove ur makeup, bc they wont... which brings me 2 the order in which u use these gentle cleansers... in the am, u should wash with either of these... but at night, u should use a gentle gel cleanser... and ive tried everything, but ive only found 2 gel/deep cleansing cleansers, and thats neutrogenas fresh foaming cleanser, and avons meet mark purifying gel cleanser... while these are in the gel catagory, they dont foam up alot like soap, and they dont strip or dry ur skin, but they do remove ur makeup, (neutrogenas seems 2 remove makeup better tho).. soooo i already told u about the am, so for the pm, since u have build up of dirt and some oil, plus ur makeup and bacteria thats been transferred from ur hands etc.. u should wash ur face with the gel cleanser first and focus on getting ur makeup off, once u do that THEN, wash with the gentle cleanser u use in the am :)

ok so now the ppl with acne are pry thinking " well how am i suppose 2 keep my acne at bay if i dont use acne cleanser?!"... well, after u cleanse u should use a toner, now this is the step where u should use something for acne... i get breakouts around that time of the month and only one astringent has made my blemishes go away, and thats clean and clear atringent for sensitive skin...

so 2 recap the "routine"so far..

am. 1. cleanse with gentle cleanser

2. use a sensitive astringent for acne ( ppl with oily skin can use this 2)

pm. 1. use gentle gel cleanser, and then gentle cleanser

2. use sensitive astringent

ok... now b4 i forget 2 tell u, besides the acne astringent, the only other ance product u should use is a spot treatment, and as far as this goes, its pretty much personal preference, u might prefer AHAs a.k.a salicylic acid u can also use benzoyl peroxide, or tea tree oil ( only at night tho) .. i myself use a clay mask as a spot treatment at night, i use it after my moisturizer, and during the day i use clearasil gel on the spot treatment.

alright, onto , SCRUBS!!! heres where tons and tons of ppl make mistakes.. a scrub is meant 2 exfoliate the dead skin, and with time can help 2 improve the texture of ur skin, the clarity and help fade dark spots.. and who doesnt want that? BUT if u mis-use a scrub, u can actually cause more damage... theres 2 types of scrubs, theres the daily scrub and the abrasive scrub, like the st ives scrub..... the daily scrub, usually has little microspheres that kinda buff away the dead skin.. now the abrasive scrub, (ima use the st ives as the example) it uses walnut shells, and it literlly almost roughly scrapes and slices off the dead skin.. now where ppl mess up is 1. they use the harash scrub as a daily, and 2. they apply alot of pressure as they scrub thinking it will make it more effective..

ok, #1 big no-no,, if these were meant 2 b used daily, they wouldnt have invented the daily scrub.. by using it daily, u not only get rid of the dead skin.. but u begin 2 aggrevate the healthy skin, which will cause inflammation, and more breakouts, or start a breakout if u dont already have one..

and #2, oof an even bigger no-no!!, bc the at ives scrub already has the walnut shells in it, it kinda cuts and slices off the dead skin, u just should gently massage ur face, by pressure, ur starting 2 "cut" into ur healthy skin, resulting in the same damage as #1, so imagine what that would do 2 ur skin if ur doing both ! *GASP* lol

so, with that said, u should use the harsh scrub, every 3 days, and u can use the daily scrub the rest of the time, if u choose 2, but u should watch ur skin for a week and see if maybe using a daily scrub causes more oil, bc if ur skin is sensitive that might b 2 much.. i use a scrub every other day.

whew.. ok so where does that leave me ? >_> <_<......>

once again ppl with acne and oily skin almost always make the mistake of thinking its not beneficial 2 ur skin 2 use moisturizer, no, def the opposite, u need a good moisturizer just as much as someone with dry skin does, but u dont neccesarily need one as thick as some ppl with dry skin like 2 use.... i love skincare so ive tried alot of things, and things that r very pricey, and with all of them i wake up with soft skin, but very greasy skin and bc its greasy i would get a blemish, ewww. until...i stumbled upon st ives collagen moisturizer for all skin types.. its a simple moisturizer.. and not only was my skin soft, but it wasnt greasy, and my current breakout at the time actually was clearing up even tho i was using a moisturizer.. u get a large jar for $5!!! ok so, it moisturizes ur skin, doesnt affect ur current breakout, it helps if anything, and ur skin is soft, and its $5??? umm can we scream OH MY GOSH!!!

now for spf, i myself have had trouble with this, anything with spf breaks me out! -_- except, avons hydro-radiance moisturizer, its just basic and works for me, finding one for u is a fact of trial and error, BUT there is no question that u NEED 2 wear spf during the day, sunny, overcast, rainy, or winter, wear spf! tho many mineral foundations have spf in them.

alright, this is the last part and dont worry its fairly short.... masks..

masks are awesome, they help dry up blemishes, moisturize, its almost like using a deep treatment on ur hair.. just depends on what ur wanting one for.. some ppl like homemade masks.. but for oily and acne skin, i find that queen helenes mint julip mask works wonders... u should use it once a week 2 start and go to 2 times a week if ur skin handles it well... but at night if u look in the mirror and u happen 2 see a evil little friend >_> aka blemish, just put a spot of the mask on it and sleep overngiht with it on and by morning its wayyyyyyy down!... now another one ppl love, is the asprin masks, u take 3-5 tablets of asprin uncoated, the cheap ones u can buy at dollar store even, anyways, so take the 3 -5 tablets and a few drops of water and add water until u get a paste and leave it on 10min.. now this is a bit more harsh and should only b done once a week... either is very good, its all personal preference on this one, i like the mint julip masks so much i havent been using the asprin lately...

OK, w00t were done!... so for those who wanted 2 know my routine, here it is in full

AM:

1. meet mark comforting milk cleanser

2. clean and clear sensitive skin astringent

3. avons hydro-radiance moisturizer

PM:

1. neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser

2.meet mark comforting milk cleanser

3. clean and clear daily scrub

4. clean and clear sensitive skin astringent

5. st. ives collagen moisturizer

6. spot treat with mint julip mask

2 times a week, full mint julip mask

1-2 times a week st ives medicated scrub ( more harsh then daily scrub)

and there u go, thats my daily

and random tips:

*try ur best 2 avoid things with alcohol in them, since they run the risk of drying ur skin, tho with astringent they usually have it in them, thats why i use the sensitive kind

*the more a cleanser foams, usually the more drying it is

*during the day, u can apply a oil control powder, but u should only do that one time mid day, bc after the first time, sometimes ur makeup can look cakey, instead, either buy oil blotting sheets, or some tissues, u can keep a little purse pack in ur bag

*try 2 avoid liquid and cream foundations during the summer, instead try mineral foundation

*use a primer b4 u put on ur makeup, it helps control oil as well, and helps 2 create a barrier over ur skin b4 u put no ur makeup

* this goes for ppl with bangs, or those who keep their hair down.. make sure 2 pull ur hair back away from ur face and clip ur bangs off of ur face at night, bc the oil and dirt in ur hair can clog ur pores ( and yes, theres dirt in ur hair bc u shouldnt wash ur hair every single day or else ur hair gets dry and brittle, bc when u wash ur hair u strip the natural oils, which u need )

and thats the end of my "lecture" lol, haha, i hoped i helped some of yall, if theres anything more ud like 2 ask, just message me or IM me at iluvpink5289@aim.com bye bye!

well ive used the st ives b4, so i can review that... in my opinion, this is awesome if u want a good rough scrub , but if u have sensitive skin id maybe stay away from this and just use a gentle daily scrub, like the clean and clear scrub ... so i used this for a week, every day tho, BUT i only used it roughly abuot twice a week, other the that id barely rub it and is used alot of water so it would be less harsh ...after about 2 weeks, my skin was alot smoother and my old blemish scars started 2 "blur" a bit... except those with sensitive skin this is a product u should definately try !! i really hate the jar packageing , but the tube i like alot, and it only takes a litle bit and a little bit goes a long way and for $4 great deal!..
**just be careful not 2 press 2 hard when ur scrubbing ur face !
