Basic Starter Kit Part 1, face

alright, so this is part one 2 my basic starter kit in cosmetics... alot of girls are just now coming into makeup, and with all the brands and products u find urself completely overwhelmed not knowing what 2 buy.... well heres my own overview of what u could start off with ...

Foundation: well i think everyone needs a liquid foundation, even tho u dont use it much in the summer, its good 2 have for when the cooler months come around, or a special occasion when u might want more coverage.. tho the coverage of ur liquid foundation can vary... if u want a lighter foundation, neutrogena healthy skin enhancer is very light, more like a tinted moisturizer.. if u want a medium coverage, i like cliniques perfectly real foundation, it stays fresh and doesnt seem 2 clog my pores... now for a heavier coverage, Macs Studio fix fluid gives a heavier coverage, beware tho, this can cause breakouts for prone skin... in my opinion tho, a heavy coverage isnt nessesary, at the most the medium coverage is plenty, bc ur powder usually offers more coverage 2 ur foundation.
u also should have a mineral foundation for the warmer weather, everyday minerals is excellent and priced alot better then bare minerals, plus its good for ur skin! and mineral makeup absorbs the oils on ur face so those with oily skin , this is the best foundation all around, bc as ur face gets a bit oily, ur makeup starts 2 melt and almost looks even better ! def def must

concealer: u dont always have 2 use concealer, but its good on days u might have a bothersome blemish or want 2 conceal under eye circles... also, when u use mineral foundations, if theres a stubborn spot, u can just spot conceal and then use ur mieral powder for a more natural look... i myself like mac studio tech concealer, its opaque and a little goes a long way, but if u can afford it, u should just buy MAC full coverage foundation and use it as a conealer, u get alot more for your money and its opaque as well... a cheaper alternative is revlons colorstay foundation as a concealer.. as u can see, u can also double a foundation as a concealer.

powder: woot, i love powders, idk y but i do... this is all personal preference, loose or pressed, but pressed is easier, and my ultimate all time favorite is mineralized skin finish natual from MAC, i love thiss stuff so much, it makes ur skin glow without being shimmery... or u can buy a translucent powder, like everyday minerals, they offer a pure silk dust, and i think its works very very well, it gives ur skin a soft focus .. if u want tho, u an always do both ! lol

face primer, and eye primer... well the primers is what will help ur makeup last thru the day and help control oil, it also creats a barrier between ur makeup and ur skin , 2 protect ur face ... i reccomend monistats anti chaffing gel, and dont even say eww -_-... bc its almost exactly like photofinish primer by smashbox without the breakouts .. and the eye primer, it helps ur shadows adhere, last longer and be more true 2 color.. this is easy tho, bc u can juse cream eyeshaodw, shadow sticks, mac paintpots, urban dcay primer potion, even a cream concealer, its just about finding what u like, i myself like urban decay primer potion

bronzer.. i like the mac bronzers and shiseido multi shade enhancer in terracotta glow.. be careful tho, 2 much shimmers will make u look tacky >_> u can use bronzer 2 contour your cheekbones etc. instead of going into detail on that, enkoremakeup on youtube has an awesome tutorial on contouring, u should check it out

highlighter.. i myself am still on the hunt for a good highlighter, about 3 yrs ago i bought a estee lauder color block for $48, well it was a special edition, and i think i would rob a store if it meant i could get another, it gave a beautiful sheen, it was perfect, and ive yet 2 find one like that, im going 2 try shiseidos multi shade enhancer in apricot glow and see if it works, so ill report back !

Blush: well i think everyone should have 2 cream blushes, on in a peach tone and one in a pink tone.. also the same goes with powder blush, one in a pink, and one in a peach..... now heres the thing, with tan or darker skin tones sometimes plum can show up pink, and pink can actual look like clown cheeks.. i myself use plum and it looks pink, im an NC44 my fav is macs plum foolery powder blush, it looks like a pink flush on me, so its good 2 go 2 mac , ulta or sephora and just try different hues of blush and see which ones look natural
